This week was super flavorful, save that Burger King stop. Hunger can make you do crazy things sometimes.
This morning the rain held off long enough for us to attend, "Singapore: Inside Out," a traveling art exhibit put on by Singapore's artistic talents.
Then the rain came, which sent us into yes, another mall. At least this one had Mario Kart and good dumplings.
By night, we headed to a hawker center and had a friends-union with Wei, Andrew and Huy. Locals Wei and Andrew ordered some of their favorite dishes, including barbecued stingray which was surprisingly tender and amazing.
Finally it was on to Gardens By The Bay, a nature park with Christmas lights and a large floating baby?
Today our good friend Huy flew in from Vietnam to meet us for the weekend. We had fabulous dreams of all we'd do and see that day, and then the rain came. And came. Luckily we took cover inside a mall. Unluckily, we took cover inside a mall.
Plaza Singapura is eight floors tall by about 25+ stores around, and we covered it all during the nine hours trapped inside. The Yamaha Piano store? Saw it. The medieval weaponry shop? Been there. The movie theatre? Caught the latest Bond film and ate the popcorn.
We'd never felt more alive than when we stepped back into the fresh, humid, Singapore air.
